Very cool! Wonder how long it will take for the DIY pieces to be available from FRPP or ?? ...for half the price.

Overpriced package from a company with ZERO previous off-road experience. Another "limited edition" with a fake Shelby signature.

I'll go to Ford or a company with actual experience with trucks, thank you.

The Red and Black color combo looks sweet, but the cutout Shelby lettering and the rear window graphic looks ugly...

This emblem not only covers the lettering of what the truck actually is, it also covers one of the vents...

Here too, they removed the name of what the truck actually is to add another Shelby... I like the factory style better,

The Method wheels are cool, but are an extra $3400 dollar option...

They sure look like these Method rims that you can buy online for $792... $195.50 each!!

No more ideas come from Carroll so how can they even think that people will even consider doing this option. A dash plaque and name plate under the hood give me a brake. They cant even put it in the registry for that to continue to have any relevance in the auto world.

Those wheels really are a nice look but a Raptor doesn't need that faux manual-engage wheel center that's right out of the last millenia :haha:

I wouldn't mind the "SHELBY" on the side vent (aside from it blocking 1/3 of the venting!) if that were the only Branding on the vehicle. The fact that it steps over SVT makes it borderline criminal :yikes:

The best possibility might be that since Shelby doesn't have a tuning clue and if this is consistent with some prior offerings, it's likely a FRP-built calibration and therefore may well become available once Shelby gets to pimp this truck for a while. Having a quality calibration available for the 2.9 on the big 6.2L will undoubtedly uncork lots of fun ;-)

:iagree:

Wait until FRP has a kit out, and buy the wheels separately if wanted - save about 70% of the cost, and get the same performance w/o the Kool Aid stink. :rofl3:

I like aspects of this but given some of what I have seen quality wise come out of the Shelby factory I would never spend the money on it. I do like the rims but they are marked up methods with center caps. I will pass on the rear window sticker and honestly on the side stickers. These decals are harder to keep clean on the truck than any other part except some of the plastic trim and rear shocks.

I kind of like the interior that they did. Not so much the colors but the patern etc. I guess it's what I expected from SAI. A bunch of bolt ons, some stickers, and a really big price tag.

Whipple has a tune and the 2.9 out for the raptor if you want it
Method sells the wheels if you want them
Tires can be bough if needed
Exhaust options are plentiful

I'll save the 17K and apply it elsewhere...but that being said I am glad Shelby came out with something. The more the merrier but I am sitting stock until I can determine something is really what I want to buy.

I was at the dealership picking up some frpp oil filters, and they had a whipple kit for the Raptor on display... It includes cai, tb, plugs, injectors, tune, intercooler, ect, and installation with warranty for $10,000...

I drooled for a min, then came back to my senses and got out of there...

I don't like the design of the whipple with the way it has the snout off to the side etc. Not sure why other than it looks odd to me but I bet it's fun to drive. I'm sticking with the enclosed airbox. I may try a Volant intake at some point but I doubt I'll see the SC option on my truck....never say never but it's not in my plans right now.
