I can't find anything to show actual points. Admins can see comments to every user though.

What are you guys looking for? Actual member rep numbers? They are not shown by default. I dont believe there is an option to show them either.
Usually just sorting in the members list is how you can see who has the most etc. Plus the tooltip comments show only what level they are on

That's it. I think he wanted to see what amount of points someone had. I couldn't find an option to enable that.

Just in case someone doesn't know it yet, to view your reputation comments and points, go into your settings. The comments and point total is there.

True. I was also thinking that it may also have been one of the things they changed in the new version of the software. Seems like alot of unpolular changes were made.

Found this regarding the drop down box and smilies.

There is not option in default vbulletin to do this. This would require modifying the code. You may want to look over on vb.org to see if there is a modification to do this.

I have looked on that forum and haven't found anything yet. Looks like another case of something thy took out of version 4. :sherriff:

Yep. There and Vbulletin.org. But Vbulletin.org you have to have a license # to see all the good stuff. I don't have access to that.

IMO we don't need to worry about this right now. Main focus should be getting any bugs worked out, getting the forum skin attached, and making sure we can open the doors soon.

...they eventually build up little green rectangles (lol) just above your avatar -- you can set your profile so that you get a PM when you receive rep points ...have no idea how they're assigned (number given seems to vary based on some inscrutable algorithm) and it seemingly won't let you give rep points to anyone you recently gave them to (again, the algorithm is somewaht inscrutable).

Then when you get 1000 rep points you can trade them in for a gift at the BVM store (j/k Joe :giggle:)

They're just a way of acknowledging the contributions made by folks ...they're not really good for anything -lol. At the bottom of every post there's three icons on the lower left ...if you mouse over them you'll see the star is for reputation, then there's one for infraction and one to report a post.

If you click the reputation star it will give rep points to that poster and you can include a brief note if you like (but it will require you to spread them around to others before you can give to that person again).

We don't use the infraction one (at least I've never seen it used).

The one to report a post is if you see one that you find offensive ...one that violates the site rules (e.g. personal attacks, inappropriate links, profanity, etc) and that will automatically notify the moderators/admins and the Board to take a look and resolve.
