Since the system upgrde if I open the Insert Image panel (from the icon), clicking Select Files (from computer) no longer works. Instead I need to launch the Basic Uploader (lower right in that window), which works fine.

Not a big deal since the basic uploader works fine but strange that the default uploader will no longer let you select uploads from computer however the default uploader does still work when selecting uploads from a website.

I'm not sure what you mean, I thought there was just the paper clip icon to upload photos?

The insert image icon opens the insert image panel (either in quick reply or full). If you open that in either mode you'll see the Insert Image window.

I've had that similar issue intermittently for about a year. The dialog box comes up, but the photos won't and it won't let me upload. If that's the issue you have, try these things:

1) Try to click the little "Go" button and see if it starts working once in the photo upload box
2) Exit out of the box, wait 5 seconds, try again

I think that's a different problem but also one I've seen occasionally.

Just click the Insert Images icon (you can mouse over them to see which it is). The insert image dialog box should (and always did) work fro both images from the computer or from URL. Now it only will work from URL unless you select the Basic Uploader (lower right in the Insert Image dialog box) which will work for images from the computer, but never had to resort to the Basic Uploader until after the system upgrade. No biggie, but a curious loss of functionality.

Okay I finally found what you are talking about, never even knew what that was before.

I've always used the "upload" icon w no problem. Mine shows both computer and Url, not sure how or why one would be missing?

Mine works

Mine too... but only from the "Basic Uploader" link when you click the "Insert Image" button.

Having Insert Image the original problem again

---

The "insert image" -> "select files" (which permits selecting multiple pics) is not working again. Once again you have to use "insert image" -> "select files" -> "basic uploader" -> "browse" and select a single pic.

This was broken for about 2 years (this thread's original post) but started working again maybe 6 months ago. Hasn't worked now for about a week.

...single-pic browse still works.

---

To be more specific, after doing
"insert image" -> "select files" the panel opens and files can be selected, but they won't load...

I'll try it again with a couple of pics:

20506 20507

Weird!! ...it works fine in this thread.

I'll go back to the other thread and see if now works there or not.

...and now, after several days of not working, it's working fine!

So, NEVERMIND!

Probably Arts fault

When I tried to load Arts pics one at a time, they won't load at all. It was as if they were too large? I thought the site auto resized them but I guess not.

I got one of the smaller ones to load, but it was sideways...even though off his laptop. :(

I think there's a 3 meg limit on JPGs b/c when Art was here pics under that loaded fine but over that would get a red "!" on the upload.

Yeah, most of his pics were over...and I couldn't figure out his phone to take smaller pics.
