So I want to upgrade my sync basic stereo with single cd.. Want a nav unit with DVD etc .. Would love oem but dang they are 1600++
Aftermarket options ?
Would need a factory looking replacement dash bezel and do not want to lose any sync options or steering wheel control

Any thpughts? Ideas ? Recommendations

Been looking over at f150 forums too

Sell the truck.

Get a new truck with the NAV.

That's funny.. That's actually the suggestion I read on some F150 forums from years ago

These days it's getting harder to integrate aftermarket nav systems. I have Sync in our Taurus and it's a waste of money and time. To hard to use and to many commands. Not sure if they fixed all the problem of the early system. You may not even miss it. There are some head units that will allow steering wheels controls to be used.with a wiring harness adapter.

Just for fun, I checked the prices of the better head units with GPS navigation. They seem to sell for nearly as much as the factory unit and I found none that claimed specific integration with sync. I think sync is function in the head unit, could be wrong, but I think if it goes, you have to rely on the new head's connectivity etc.
