View Full Version : Tokico, Dynamic or both?

One of the first things I did to my Shelby back in 2007 was install the FRPP Handling Pack.

Today looking at the kit on the Ford Racing site it looks similar, but sounds different.

The description says its from "Dynamic"...but doesn't mention Tokico.

My Shocks/Struts say..."Tokico, engineered by Dynamic" on them.

My Shocks/Struts are adjustable.

My question is...are my Shocks/Struts considered D Spec Tokico's ?

I can't find a definitive answer? :(

Dunno, but I bet Ford Racing can answer that or find out for you pretty quickly! They're really there to help, you know. :shades:

Then let us know -- ok? :hiding: ;-)

Found out Ford is like Apple. :look:

My questions were answered with "that's proprietary info to Ford" :nonono:

The tech was helpful as far as suggesting some spring rates and "other" companies to check for info to help w choosing "aftermarket" struts and springs.

I imagine he won't be working there that long. :look:

Maybe it's a function of how you asked the questions :innocent: ...maybe they sensed that you hate talking to people :giggle:

They're not going to give you vendor specifics on sourcing their 2007 FRPP Handling Pack vs current offering, but they should be willing to explain if the current offering is technically similar/different and, if different is it a better offering or not for your intended application.

Like Carnut said: "depends upon de specs" :giggle:

Btw, what did that helpfull tech tell you about spring rates and "other" companies to check for info choosing "aftermarket" struts and springs?

For Pete's sake, we're waiting with baited breath, Bill! :shades:

Biggest thing I needed to know was spring rates.

People need to know this when setting up a car for the track.

They couldn't tell me this. :(

Sad, because I can go to a performance shop and pay them to check them on a spring machine and give me an idea what they are.

After I pull them off the car!!

What's the big secret if you can have them checked? Why not disclose to someone asking a simple question instead of costing them money to check out?

If I go to the trouble of pulling the springs I'm simply going to buy someone else's springs at the rate I need and install them.

:(

And the shocks, they are Tokico's , but they couldn't tell me the type. :(

So may have to upgrade those too.

Guess I know now not to buy any Ford performance or handling packs in the future.

Don't quite remember the details, but I think TG found out you can cook Apple pies on a hibachi while measuring how far the spring on his pogo stick will bounce.

Or something like that. :look:

Just tell TG to slap some bailing wire on his springs to decrease his spring rate. Easy peasy.

Yeah, redneck idiots comes to mind.

I think they lost money on the Ferrari F-1 because they changed it, color, wheels, engine stuff. Modifying a collector Ferrari takes away value.

Its not a Corvette for cripes sake.

Woo, gimme another beer.
