Went to the tire store to get a tire repaired and the inside of the tire was down to the cords. Only on 1 inch of the tire seems to be on the road. The rest of the tire looks great. **** I'm starting to hate these tires. I had tyo replace one tire for separation in the sidewall and now this. I am not buying another Goodyear tire. By the way what happened to tire prices CRAP. I can get a set for $1,200 seriously? What happened to a good tire for $150? This tire is original equipment and only 3 years old and look at the cracks between the tread.

Yeah, the summer tires, they sure do not last.......................fortunately, Beth curbing the SHO and my expert price haggling (insurance covered OEM at retail, I got it for :monkey: discount, the difference in pricing for all of the parts on that fix was enough to cover my $500 deductible and the other 2 tires on the other side that were not damaged in accident). I put on all weathers for durability. They wore MUCH better prior to my trading in for the Explorer Sport, which thankfully came with all weathers with a 60k tread warranty.

1) Wear in the middle is over inflation, no?
2) You making snow studs with that bolt? :cold:
3) Good thing you're rich like TG. :spend:

Exactly the problem. I got nice wear from the tires but Had to replace one with sidewall separation on the inside. Its a good thing I was in for a oil change and the shop guy found it.

I didn't get the performance package so I got the all season 19's instead of the summer 20's there is still lots of tread left on them is the reason I'm so mad. The 68 needs a new set of tires and the GT500 needs a new set too. I just can't save enough to keep up.

What year is your car?

Is this the same GT500 you had, or did you buy another? :(

Alignment is done. only $100
It was one degree out. I dont believe the damage to the tire only 1 degree out. New tires look nice though.

Tommy Gun

Sounds a little high, never paid more that $69 for an alignment, even a 4 wheel alignment.
