Old pics of the old race cars

With this facebook page that was thrown together by fans and old pro 5.0 racers i have been getting tagged in pics, of my dads cars ive never seen before. http://stangsunited.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=15229&stc=1 My dads 1986 the car he started pro 5.0 with, this was when he started helping procharger, and moved away with vortech due to alot of problems! http://stangsunited.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=15230&stc=1 Its also funny, when i was helping the main developer of the group, by finding pics of my dads car the forum was a little slow in interest level and suddendly sky rocketed in interest. I was contacted by the new owner of my dads pro 5.0 7 sec 1990 fox, who is now selling the car, http://stangsunited.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=15231&stc=1 pic of the car in late 90s early 2000's maple grove nmra event. http://stangsunited.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=15232&stc=1 Here she is now, I wanted to buy it off the guy in the worst way but the car is so far gone. Its not on the chassis my dad had it on and he put a new roof on the car, which has me beleive it was possibly rolled. His excuse for the new roof was to delete moonroof i think bs! Plenty other ways to do that and why all that effort to remove a moonroof when he once raced with the car having a moonroof?http://stangsunited.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=15233&stc=1

Same name will do that ;-) ...but nice that they're coming forward and making contact ...probably brings back a lot of memories for your dad! World record holder with a 289 running 7s and even after he left the sport his record stuck for quite some time! Your dad is an amazing guy, Jim ...do you remember the tribute at Atco that Steve Saleen hosted for the gang of 8 that cracked Ford's EFI black box? Your dad was one of them. He never told George or I that was reason for the event -- to honor your dad and the others on the 20th anniversary or what effectively birthed modern race-tuning of EFI Fords. You were still fairly young then but may recall that event -- and was so nice to meet and talk for so long with folks like Ford's Brian Wolfe and Jesse Kershaw, also Jim D'Amore ...what a nice day!! Your dad rocks!! ;-)

I remember it like it was yesterday!!! they are actually hosting another get together at maple grove nmra! We will be bringing the 07 Gt500 and the cobra jet, they will also be unveiling racin Jason's twin turbo 87 vert that was the first to be in the 7s! (it was bought and restored after being in a storage unit for 20 years or so)
