Actually pretty darn cool!

Not the real deal but as close to it as mere mortals can ever hope to get ...and not too badly priced considering these are essentially part-identical copies...

...just make sure your driveway has less than a 1* transition to the street and plot every speed bump :yikes: -lol

They've had them for a while, it's just branding it with "50th anniversary" that gives them a press bump.

Ah, right ...I missed that. Ok, there's my excuse :rofl3:

Yup :but: these have some special collectable Shelby fairy dust sprinkled on them ...directly from the 'other side' :innocent: ;-)

In the Hemmings click-thru...

The anniversary cars will be sold by Shelby American and its dealer network. To avoid having to comply with safety and emission rules governing automakers, the cars are delivered to dealers as rollers, without engine and transmission, priced from $169,995. For an engine, Shelby American recommends the aluminum 427 FE V-8 available from the Carroll Shelby Engine Company and built with outputs ranging from 550 to 750 horsepower. Most Shelby dealers will handle the installation of engine and transmission, which adds roughly $50,000 to $60,000 to the final price of the vehicle.

---

I actually think these may hold their resale value fairly well -- and better than most such re-pops -- tho no doubt not an "investment" in an actual piece of history which would probably be 10x that amount.

Superperformance Cobras have held their values quite well and have actually increase some.

:wtg: ...makes sense ...esp since they are virtually identical to the originals and in many ways better.
