That is pretty amazing, but I think they make power on a similar curves as does the 5.2 FPC motor. Whereas, the stock 5.0 makes more horsepower and torque up to 4,000 rpm, after that the 5.2 heads start leaving the production 5.0 behind. It would be an interesting conversion for someone with a track car.

Some of it is also the slightly larger cylinder bore of the 5.2 unshrouds the larger valves in the 5.2 heads (Ford made a point of that in the design) vs the 5.2 heads on the 5.0. And a bit more compression and displacement helps too.

I saw estimates around $10,000 to do the conversion :faint:
Each head is $2500, then the supporting parts...plus labor. :faint:

What happened to buying a set of Edelbrock heads for $600. :(

You have twice as many valves and springs, you have 4 times the number of camshafts, you have increased machining costs and you have the premium for being a high demand part.

Had a set of those on my 383 vette with solid rocker roller lifters... Things would go out of adjustment just looking at them...

Did you read the small print? Says that's with race fuel and LT headers.
How much will you gain over stock for that $10k? :spend:
