Miller Motorsports must be doing ok!
You may recall this was the prototype Shelby Cobra and Shel's personal pride and joy that was on display at the old airport location Museum -- the polished (unpainted) Cobra.

Miller Motorsports is closed. The track is now operated by China, Inc. (The land is leased.)
But the Larry H Miller auto dealers and other business ventures seem to be doing well. I have met both Larry (before he passed away) and Greg (his son who was the winning bidder) and both were extreme Shelby/Ford vintage enthusiasts. The museum at the track is closed.
CSX2000, and most of the Miller Shelby/GT40 cars, are now at home at the Shelby American Collection near Boulder, CO. I was granted a "Ropes down" photo session at the SAC annual party [I know the owner]. I have pictures and a couple of videos that I will post over at Team Shelby hopefully later today.
It was thrilling to see that the Millers are still interested in these cars and will continue to acquire them.
By the way, not mentioned in the article was that Greg was bidding against the Shelby family, but they simply couldn't come up with the money so Miller won.
Also, the hammer price of 12.5M (final price +10%=13.75M) is the highest price so far for an American car.
