Have known this beast was coming for a while now but now that it's been unveiled at NYIAS...

It uses the new Eaton TVS 2650. Lightweight. Uses A/C to cool intake 40*. Spared nothing in their bag of racer tricks.

NHRA has already banned it from competition because it's actually a fully-prepped factory race car in very sheer street clothing.
I bet they will sell everyone of the 3,000, if they haven't already -lol

Makes you wonder if Ford and GM will jump into this gray 'street' car area or not. I suspect they will have to.

Fox news article covers all the highlights well. (http://www.foxnews.com/auto/2017/04/11/2018-dodge-challenger-srt-demon-is-absolute-beast.html)

...using some assumptions for VE, fuel, air, and nums they've released, 840 flywheel hp, 2:1 boost, the flow would be around 2500 kg/hr which puts them a bit past the edge of 68% (or maybe 67%) plateau (2500 at 2:1 (http://stangsunited.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=19771&d=1491439891)) ...not too far past the 2650 sweet spot with some room to push the 2650 further.

Hello, Raj, are you listening

(I'm sure he knows all too well which begs the question:GT500 or King Cobra when? lol)

Ford is already there with the GT350R. In its basic configuration it does not have a rear seat. Originally you could get the rear seat components from Ford Performance Parts and install it yourself but now they offer it as an option.

What would be cooler would be a Chrysler parts department (non-street legal) version of the Demon. That would be truly impressive.

 (re seat)

...GT350R just needs 300+ more HP, chilled intake, drag package (did you notice you can drive to the track with the race tires strapped into a well in the trunk!) ...oh, and run 9s off the showroom floor.

Dodge would win the internet if they offered a dealership installed roll cage option. That would also get the NHRA off their backs as the Demon is banned as it runs sub-10's and doesn't have a cage, which is required once you hit 9.99 seconds in the 1/4 mile.
