I haven't been on any boards much but just wanted to post up my current customer project. It's a 2010 Camaro SS that I am installing a KB 2.8 LC on. I can tell you it dynoed 384 sae with headers and no tune on my Dynojet.I have 2 full days on the install and am on page 88 of 189...... I think 189 I didn't add in the supplements! Ouch, way more work than I thought. I will post up results after I get it done and on the dyno. KB wouldn't give him a tune because he has headers on it. So I have to deal with that yet.I really like my GT500's even more after this!SteveJoe G when coming down for your dyno and tune?

Sounds like an interesting project Steve...be sure to take a lot of pics along the build so we can all see it. It would be nice to see how the competition looks under the hood.

I'll get some pic's tomorrow. I still have a ways to go until the s/c is on. I will say that I am not too impressed with the quality and workmanship of the Camaro. There are cross threaded bolts, I'll get some pic's of that and the front wheel hubs appear to be off of a 4 wheel or front wheel drive model. They are splined for front drive axles and GM just puts a cap over it. Lot's of goofy stuf. The quality is no where near any of my 3 Mustangs and that is a fact not because I am biased.

The instruction's KB supplies are great and very easy to follow and so far everything in the kit has fit like it should. Tomorrow is the infamous?? boost-a-pump install portion! And then I can get the intake on.

Yep still have the Bullitt, We are going to put 4:10's in as soon as I am done with the Camaro. We may even touch the very high 12's with only drag radials and the L&M throttle body after the gears are in. I have been 13.3's so far launching at 4500....ouch! It's the kids car oh well!

I saw that install on Hot Rod Garage and they got it done in the 1/2 hour show....lol

It was funny actually, that show is so pro-Chevy and they were trying to make it look like an easy afternoon of work....as I was watching how many pieces were coming off and the modifications that need done I was shaking my head....their best comment was how easy it was to work on compared to the previous generation Camaro...lol

Never say yes when a buddy with the previoous gen asks if you mind changing his plugs to help him save $....that is just nasty...the shop quoted him 8 hours and I understand why...took me 6 and some creativity on the passenger side rear...

Yep don't trust a tv show! I still intend on posting picks when I have a life back! This install is something else. It was going good until I got to the fun stuff. Missing intercooler fittings, alignment pins for the intake manifold that are so tight that you have to take the manifold back off to remove them. Closed trunk.....with the battery unhooked.....it's in the trunk and no key lock just like our 500's. Thank goodness I had the windows down and the key. Had to crawl into the trunk and release the latch. At least the back seat folds down.More to come soon. The s/c is on and only have all the millions of little items to deal with, Then I can put the trunk back together, the front bumper back on, fender liners in, and front wheels on!

What do you mean no key lock? I can use a key to open my trunk.

Opps, sorry I was tired when I posted that. I should have wrote remote trunk release. You would think that since the battery is in the trunk that they would have a remote (inside passenger compartment) cable style trunk release.........well being GM what can you say?

Well the install was finished 6-23 which was Tuesday. I still could not get a tune for it. KB refused to supply one and the two usless "Camaro" tuners that they referred me to would not return my calls or emails. So I took the plunge and bought the SCT software and started learning how to tune a Camaro. Actually turned out very good. Drives nice and made decent power "I guess?" 508 std Dynojet. I forgot what sae numbers where since I didn't want to make him feel too bad. That's on a 96 degree day, around 65% humidity with 16 degree's timing.

It feels about as fast as a stock GT500...............for almost an 8 grand investment! KB claims 550 in their ad but that's with 2 degree's more timing and probably a lot cooler air temps. I also kept his a/f at 11.5 which could be a little leaner but he's happy where it is.

I wanted to post up some pic's but his daughter hasn't emailed them to me yet. I didn't take any since they took plenty. When I get some I will post them.

Anyone that can have the pleasure of tuning a new Camaro will see how nice our Ford software is. Gm has about 40 billion "exaggeration" parameters and tables.
