My grandma loved Arbys. She took us there whenever she visited us in Phoenix in the 70s. Back then it was all roast beef. Haven't been to one since, mostly because they weren't in our areas. I just looked at their site and it looks like they have some good sandwiches. One is close I might go get one.

When I was about 12 I ate at an Arby's for the first time. I threw up about 2 hours later. The only thing I could think of was the sesame seeds on the buns, so I assumed I was allergic to them and avoided them for about 10 years. Well, I'm not allergic...I have no idea why I threw up....but never had an issue since. I like Arby's market fresh sandwiches but they are huge...share with a friend.

We have venison in our freezer, pretty much everyone in Western PA does. The whole state shuts down the Monday after Thanksgiving for opening day of buck season.

 Louisiana style fried chicken and popcorn shrimp and such. Amazingly, they actually prepare the chicken, marinate it for 12 hours .and dip it in the batter right in the [franchise] store. We were watching them one day and asked ...apparently the Colonel doesn't do that and stuff arrives refrigerated and pre-prepped. We have both at times but I much prefer Popeye's over the Colonel.

I prefer their chicken but not their side orders.

Yeah, some of the sides (https://popeyes.com/menu/signature-sides/)are sort of 'filler' ...baked mac & cheese is okay but not like home-made, that's for sure -lol- but their Cajun fries and rice & beans are good. Never had they Jambalaya ...haven't noticed if they have it at our local Popeye's
