Dave, don't tell your dad: there's a hot rumor that GM will annc an electric-boosted vette next year, using the Volt's management system tied to an LS3, it will supposedly 'supercharge' the batteries via a belt-driven charger to make available a big electric boost in power for some period of time ...for short trips could see 60+ mpg. Dunno if true but it was going around in 'vetteland :)
