Hi,
I own a Model 17 Mustang GT, EU spec. It‘s a dream come true for me that I was able to fulfill now that the kids are all grown up and out of the house :yay:
Ingot silver is a rather rare colour for the S550 here in Germany but it is was the only one for me - it shows much more details in my eyes.
Anyway, glad to be here and learn and contribute.

Hi Cyber_Dude -- welcome!
Poke around and enjoy.
After a few posts you should be able to post pictures, if you like.
Have fun!

Welcome! Great to hear from a European Mustang owner that was produced for the market. How do they differ? I realize it probably doesn't apply to you but can you get a right hand drive?

welcome here Cyber dude. What city in Germany? My wife and I vacationed in the south of Germany for two weeks in 2011, we really loved it. Stayed in Rotenburg ob der Tauber, Triberg, Freiburg, Fussen, Munich, and more (excuse my spelling lol).

Thanks for the warm welcome. I live close to Rosenheim (which is not far from Munich).
Yes, you get RHD EU Mustangs (UK and Aussie markets).
Mine is obviously LHD. Differences are eg:
- no LED tribars which hurts the most. We only have reflectors.
- white tail light clusters which works well with the ingot-silver
- performance pack on the GT included
- no hood scoops (which I actually prefer - nobody hit me please)
- GT dome strut is missing but was the first thing I added back
- no BLIS and ACC (donˋt ask me why)
Attached is a pic

Nice! and that's a great backdrop for a photo.
By the way, what's up with German people drinking "colaweizens" ? LOL First time I ever heard of that was when we went there. They even offered me one with banana juice in a beer. LOL

How did you get to Germany? Do you speak German? Have you lived in the US? If so, where?
My fav part of Germany was all the castles...I'll bet we visited a dozen of them...some like Neuschwanstein and some in ruins....both are neat.

Hmmm, have been getting free wine from the local casino (rewards cards bonus), and I like wine but not enough to open a bottle and let it go stale. Might have to give this a try.

Yeah, try it. Coke seems to go best with robust red, like a Chianti or similar. Try about 2/3 wine and 1/3 Coke for starters and see what you like.

I am actually German, even though I lived a long time in Africa. I work for an international company and have been to the US many times. I have always been a fan of US pony and muscle cars and am dreaming of getting a late 60ies Stang to complement my 17 GT.

I worked for a Fortune 10 company for decades and visited Germany several times ...beautiful country and the Germans have always been so friendly toward Americans. Funny story: I forget which town (small city) I was in but it was during Octoberfest -- huge tent, many tables, beer taps, women serving in tradition dress, great band... When the band took a break I noticed they were speaking English to one another so I asked where they were from. Oregon. -lol ;-)
