Seriously, I love his off the cuff, but a letter like this needs to use proper grammar.

You mean like: FU, strong letter to follow? :haha:

Yeah, you can tell he wrote it ...even if staff made sure he hit the right points.
Still, not bad for a "dotard." :shades: Besides it keeps the NK translators on their toes. :giggle:

After his speech at Annapolis graduation today Trump says he was given the option to leave after his speech, stay and shake the hands of the top 100 grads or stay and shake the hands of all 1,042 grads! After everyone yelled "stay" he did and 90 minutes later finished congratulating every one of them individually.

Awesome

He knows that his starving masses will not tolerate the conditions much longer and will soon revolt. When faced with death for a fight for freedom or a death from starvation, which one will you choose? With the first there is a chance for living, and you will die if you lose, but the second choice ends only one way.

I agree. I still want to see the heat (sanctions) turned up until the day he both agrees in writing to abandon nukes (vs the pro forma blowing up of an already defunct site the other day) AND actually destroys the real facilities with monitors present. Until then, he needs to have to screws tightened progressively the longer he delays.

So Roseann indirectly touched the third rail of race and was terminated by ABC.
Of course there are celebs who said much worse, but Roseann is a conservative!
But, you know what?
ABC was already trying to channel her away from her Trump-supportive commentary -- even(after ABC pimped the show based on that -- twice warning her to tone it down.
It's clear Roseann was not comfortable with ABC's coercion -- she essentially told them: it's her show, she owns the creative content and ABC can stick it where the sun don't shine.
So, methinks Roseanne may possibly have already found a more suitable outlet (dunno).
This little 'slip-up' of hers might have just given ABC their excuse.
We shall see.

You say she is a conservative?

Trump supportive?

I’m missing something here.

Yeah, she is ...and her show is funny! I guess WAS funny now :(

Essentially the same cast as the original show just 20 years later. I'm not a big fan of Roseann Barr herself, but the show is good.

ABC pimped her series redux as a conservative Trump supporter -- possibly to fend off mounting criticism of ABC as fake 'lefty' news -- and it was a huge hit ...got the highest ratings in its slot every week for its first new season. They re-upped the show for another season as a result. Until today when they canned it.

I never thought about it but she could land on her feet someplace else. Fox would seem to be a good home. It all depends on how the rights to the characters etc. are owned.

No idea she was cast as such, especially since in real life she was totally against Trump and everything he stands for.

Huh ...never knew that! Trump even called her up and congratulated her on the new show when it debuted. It's a crazy world these days -lol

Hadn't thought about the characters but I think she owns the rights (not certain) ...possibly shared though. Yeah, Fox would be ideal but might want to wait a season for the 'smoke' to clear -lol

Okay, so now Susan Rice of Benghazi phony video fake-news infamy has been elected to the Board of Directors of Netflix (http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2018/03/28/susan-rice-ex-obama-official-appointed-to-netflix-board-directors.html).
Quite coincidentally :shades: (ahem), the Obamas ink deal to be making reality and other shows ...that will air on Netflix (http://www.nola.com/tv/index.ssf/2018/05/the_obamas_are_going_into_the.html).

The deep state just got deeper. Seems it's becoming the once and once-again deep state :doh2:

The thing about Netflix is they are true ratings. It takes many actions to actually view something so you can't just wander. Lots of broadcast shows are sandwiched between two shows (notably sitcoms), call them A, B, C. B gets artificially inflated ratings as people will leave the channel tuned to the nothing show while bridging from A to C. We'll see how successful their new venture is.

PS. Unlike the old broadcast days [we filled out a Nielsen diary once many years ago], if you watch cable or satellite and your box is network connected then you are counted. All streaming is counted.

Yup ...we don't have Netflix here but the kids do so I know what you're saying.

...and now the new 'smart' TVs log everything you watch and up-load that info so it can be sold for 'ad targeting' purposes :shades:

We try to be careful -- turn off all the 'spying' functions in WIN10 and we cover the cameras on our PCs and disable the microphones -- but makes you wonder when your TV will be watching you ...I've read some TVs are already so equipped and are easily hacked to do so. Seems it's getting crazy.

I've read that one technique survey companies were caught using to verify who you are and eliminate 'false' survey respondents, is to call you while you're taking the survey to listen, using your PC's microphones, for the phone ring and your voice simultaneously in phone and PC mics -- to be sure it's you and that you are where you say you are (some surveys require being taken at home to be 'valid' for their purpose). Of course none of that is disclosed anywhere. And it's not all as it seems. The survey companies have to pay for each 'contact' (either to the contact provider like Facebook (and indirectly to the survey respondent via some promo/bene, like bird coins), so even if they 'disqualify' your survey input (typically at the very end of the survey) based on the above they still get to use all the info if they see fit -- they just get to avoid paying the contact 'fee' as respondent disqualified. Facebook survey companies used to do this via Angry Bird coin-promos but that was all shut down several months ago -- no explanation apparently provided and both Facebook and Rovio (Angry Birds) seem mute on the subject as nothing turns up on searches and no responses I could find in either of their forums.

This got more interesting today ...leak at ABC indicates ABC is working on a new show for the entire cast of Roseann -- except Roseann Barr. That would effectively prevent her from taking her intellectual property (the show content) elsewhere since the whole show revolves around those characters (as it did 20 years ago).

Also, I'm wondering who owns the physical set itself -- a key asset. If ABC owns the set (dunno) they could potentially just replace her ...her 'replacement' or hired writers could sort of carry on without her then ....new show could be called Rose & Dan (Dan is her hubby on the show -- or whatever).

The plot surely just thickened and ABC surely has deeper pockets and more skilled content contract lawyers than Roseann does ...and they've got plenty of time since no one is going to pick-up Roseann Barr or Roseann for this season anyway.

Some employers are skipping drug testing in order to fill positions. ( Fox News ) Guess the job market is getting a little tight..

Also heard some are waiving felony disclosures on job apps for certain skills needs.

I'd sure still want to see that so I could decide based on nature of the felony. Possibly the context was drug felonies vs violent crimes -- wasn't clear in the coverage I saw and haven't researched further.
