It has been a lonog time since I initially placed the order on the Raptor. It was ordered on January 27th and I just picked it up today. These past few days have been nail biting since it was at the rail yard since 5/31. The trucking company waited until they had a couple more vehicles to deliver to the dealer because they didn't want to make one trip. That is what it all boils down to be. I can't really blame the dealer because it was out of his control. he did all he could do to get it here. But now that it is here, here are some pictures of it.

I had the driving lights and chrome tailpipe tips installed as a dealer option. They only charged me for the parts and no labor to put them on. With the exhaust tips, it has a nice louder sound in the cabin, just enough to let you know it is there. The Sync system is really cool. I paired it up with the bluetooth on my phone and the media was synced as well. It is really cool to be able to play your songs on the phone and have it coming out the truck spreakers. The power of the 6.2 is really good and pulls pretty hard for a truck. The interior is layed out very well and the seats are really comfortable to sit in.

That was a statement on the salesman's behalf when I told them about Crown Ford asking for a $10K "Market Adjustment"

Since I'm not in a position to buy yet, I wasn't telling them my starting point in the negotiations.

No ADM here either, they are even available here at 0% if you are not going to pay for it, that is unheard of for an SVT vehicle.

The Truck is just friggin' A-W-E-S-O-M-E and I thought I liked the BLK with the side graphics delete the best but not anymore after seeing yours and the mods! CONGRATS!

I was thinking the other day now the the 6.2 is coming to any F150. Can you imagine a standard cab 2WD F150 with the 6.2? :yikes:

That truck will blow some new MAROS off the road!

It's not like the grabber orange, there is more red in it than the grabber. With more sun, it looks more orange than red. It is a pretty cool color. I'm glad I picked that color rather than the white, black or blue.

Have you seen the 2011 6.7 diesels? Saw one yesterday, service manager says they pull strong and decent mileage. We'll see on the reliability in a couple years.

congrats greg! Great looking truck! I think the driving lights on front make it look ecen better. I want one bad but without a payment :) I am holding out to see the crew cab look but I sat in a beautiful blue one here and the driver has all kinds of room. I need a backseat though for a growing boy. I would love to have one though.

Last I checked there wasn't any (at least from Ford).

I am waiting for the aftermarket to catch up first. I don't like to jump on the first power mod that comes out. I would rather have others be the guinee pig. I am sure JLT, C&L and the rest will be out with one sooner or later.

I haven't driven the 6.7 but my salesman says they will burn the tires off the truck. I am glad I got the lightbar and lights. It really goes good with it, kind of like finishing it off. I recieved a discount on the lightbar from Ford. They sent them out for people who ordered their trucks early like I did. I was thinking of getting one early on in the ordering process but even Joe couldn't get a real decent price. I think this one was about $750 and the dealer did a free install for me.

I was thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these beasts.

Would you mind sharing some of the financials. If not in public then by PM. It would be helpful to know what I am dealing with when time comes to haggle.

Mine was a little different. We negociated wholesale prices. I ended up with the dealer sending my old truck to auction and we got $1700 more than what was expected. The auction company took their $300 and we split the remaining $1400 so we both made out a little better. From that, they sold it to me for about $500 above invoice for $44K and some change. Since I had quite a bit of equity in my old truck, I was able to put down a little over $20K. The APR on the loan was at 4.5 percent. My payments are just under $500 a month. I think we both came out good on this deal.

Thanks Rob....so far this truck has been great. It has really good passing abilities and going up hills is a piece of cake.

Here is a picture of the tailgate so you really see the nice paint job Ford put on this truck.

I was going to LineX the bed in black. That way if I happen to haul something back there it won't show as bad. I know, it just looks too pretty to cover up.

A few years back, I talked with a LineX vendor about custom colors & he said that they could do them, but there was some extra cost.

I was thinking about that but I think the dirt would show up too much and maybe have some staining if not washed out right away. I put a soft roll-up tonou cover on it and it looks good on there.

I remember when I saw the prototype at the New York Auto Show a few years ago I took a few pics and went home and priced out an equivalent FOX suspension component and similar wheel and tire set-up.

The parts alone were over 9K! (no labour) :surprised: to get the kind of suspension and boots a stock RAPTOR has.

It almost looks like that orange is red with gold metalflake in it. Is that it a metalic orange, VD? Looks great!!

It is either metallic or glass in the paint. It really pops out in the sun.

Either, with the 87 octane, you get 401HP. With the 91 octane you will get 411HP. There are knock sensors that help prevent detonation. I have been running 87 octane with no problems. There is no knocking at all. I'll have to try a tank of 91 to see how it feels in comparison to the 87.

Have you called Ford customer service? If you have the dealer number and order number, you can call them and they will give you an update. The dealer can give you their dealer number. In the meantime......:reading: more :reading: and even more :reading:

Sounds like you may be getting the SHAFT on that promise. The dealer may need to throw in the Light Bar to keep you happy. :shades:
