DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 30, 2018 – In response to the signing of the regional trade agreement between the United States, Mexico and Canada, Ford Motor Company released the following statement, attributable to Joe Hinrichs, executive vice president and president of Global Operations:

“Today’s signing is an important step towards achieving free and fair trade in North America. We look forward to being a collaborative partner to support the ratification of the agreement in all three markets because it will support an integrated, globally competitive automotive business, helping to drive volume and support manufacturing jobs. To achieve the full potential of the trade agreement and to ensure ratification, the elimination of tariffs on steel and aluminum will be critical and we will continue to work with all stakeholders on this important issue.”

Yup. Will be interesting to watch.

It may also serve as a good test of how many Senate dems see themselves as vulnerable in 2000 if they were to dis such a major trade agreement.
Probably why the 'goon squad' is finding it better to already position it as "the same as NAFTA" -- which it's not. That way future vulnerability to a no vote is somewhat fended off.
Typical obstructionist dem politics -- and doesn't help that several republicans will invariably feel they have to appease their mixed constituencies.
It will probably need a dozen dems to pass even tho it should only need seven.

Amazing how this will tease out the pseudo dem constitutionalists -lol- who all slept through O:blahblah:ma's essentially unconstitutional (and arguably treasonous) Iran deal, among other end-runs.
