Looking for some thoughts on what the market is for a signed airbag cover and the 2007 double sided yellow dealer window banner.

I tried looking online for these items but no one has any for sale to get a reference of what the market is. I am also wondering if I should just keep both of these as mementos of the car.

I'd would keep them as a reminder of the car.

...might be a nice framed item in the spiffy-floored garage in FL?

Went to the local dealer to order a new airbag cover, they won't take a CC over the phone. It was $305 :yikes:

I did order it but by the time I got home I looked online and found other parts suppliers such as Tasca Parts who have it for $186. I am waiting for a call back from them to verify this is based on the part number the correct cover. Has anyone dealt with Tasca before? Is there anywhere else I should be looking for a replacement cover?

Tasca is great.

As a starting point I always check the main ford site at www.fordparts.com (http://www.fordparts.com)

Then Tasca and a few other dealers. Some dealers have their own parts department web site, e.g., the local Vegas dealer Gaudin Ford has a parts on line site.

I just finished putting my Ford GT back to stock. As a result I needed a few "maintenance" parts. The main ones were the clamshell struts. Fordparts.com had a price that was lower than the dealer and the dealer wouldn't budge. Tasca's price was lowest of all, and the shipping for the two struts, two muffler gaskets and an oil filter element was less than the difference in price between ONE strut from Tasca and the local dealer price. I'd definitely use Tasca again. The only issue was time to get the stuff. Struts had to be ordered from Ford and took over a week to get to Tasca, then shipping required a signature and we weren't here so that added a full weekend to get everything. As I recall the Ford GT doesn't show up in their mfg/model list, so I verified all the part numbers on a phone call, and I think the contact was Ben. I could then use the part numbers to order on line since the parts themselves were in the search engine.

I also thought that Galpin Ford (the biggest west coast dealer) would also have a good price structure but they do not! Again, they wanted full retail for everything I asked about and when I said that the ford site was cheaper they said buy there. Basically turned me away. Rude.

The other place I use is Rock Auto. Oil for the GT is a 5w50 full synthetic, which every place thinks highly of. Here again, the dealers were in the $12-13/quart range. Tasca was I think 9 but their shipping was high. Rock Auto had it for 6.97/qt with about 12 shipping (via USPS, took two days).

Thanks Tony.

I am still waiting for a call back from Tasca to verify the part is correct. I looked at Fordparts and they are $277 so it looks like I will just order it from Tasca since you say that they can be trusted to have OEM parts.

Still hasn't arrived, tracking now has an alert from USPS saying it is stuck in RI.

I haven't gotten any real interest in the car despite having it on several sites.

Tungsten is slow. :look:

It appears all 2007-2009 are not selling well. Also there are 3 other 2007 Tungsten Gray convertibles available at this time so that doesn't help either.

Be patient, wait it out. Took a while to sell mine. Do you have it on any Facebook pages?
