I still have the 99 Lightning that I bought new. It has 145,000 well maintained miles on it without a dent on it and zero rust. Sadly the red paint is faded and the interior is worn. The good news is it getting new paint and upholstery. All the trim is getting replaced too as well as an audio upgrade. I’ll post pics as it goes. My living room is full of boxes of new parts.

Yeah, cool. Another project to keep you busy. Of course it goes without saying we'll need pics.

Got the spray in bed liner done yesterday. Dashmat and restored wheels and new Nittos are next.

It's such a sweet truck ...will be like new again!

Then lots of nice pics!! ;-)

Bruce, I drove George's Lightning back in '06 but I don't remember... is it a 3-valve with the 1.8 TVS? It was really pretty quick!

It’s a 2 valve motor. I ran a bone stock et of 13.8 when I first bought it. Claimed top speed is 147 mph. It’s an Eaton supercharger.

Ah, 5.4 2-valve. Not too shabby for a 4700# stock truck! That Eaton was probably before they increased the rotor twist and called it a TVS ...nice roots blower!

Working on it. My arms are too short to hold the camera out the window and my paw on the gas at the same time.
