 yeah, I really like that!!! If it's the real deal. If not, awesome concept sketch ...they did use Bronco logo in the background too!!
Very much Raptor-like ...fender width insets the headlights and taillights. Full width stance. Sweeet!
Must be two separate 2-door versions then? ...vs removeable roof panel.
Hmmmm.

09-03-2019, 04:10 PM
Yeah, hope Ford realizes what people want to be able to make it b/c it will never ship with that stance but it needs to accommodate big/wide tires, whatever the look.
It's curious too b/c even tho the GPS 'wart' on the roof is in a similar location to the Raptor it's not exactly in the same location and is the turtle (vs mast) type -- a curious detail for something that's a concept sketch. Checked the Ranger Raptor too which is also different.
And the front Raptor-like grille is different than the F150 Raptor and even more different than the euro Ranger Raptor yet really has the family 'feel.'
Very talented designer, whoever did it!

Just noticed that on the screen in the background of the lower pic it says "design by ??????" so I guess it's just someone's concept sketch but it sure is well done!!

Sure is a nice fully race prepped 'fast start' for the SERIOUS desert racer -- mid $200K. Bugs in your teeth, no charge
READY FOR ITS RACING DEBUT
With a premiere appearance planned for the 2022 Baja 1000, the Bronco™ DR will hit the sand powered by a Ford Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine.
Other competition-focused features include Multimatic Positional Selective DSSV™ Dampers, a Multimatic safety cage, 37-inch BFGoodrich® Mud-Terrain T/A® KM3 all-season tires and beadlock wheels.
An approach angle of 47 degrees, a departure angle of 37 degrees, and a breakover angle of 33 degrees all make it clear that the Bronco DR is a machine that’s purpose-built for racing. To meet desert racing requirements and provide weight savings, the air conditioning system, interior amenities, and all glass have been removed.

The new BRONCO is a joke, save the MultiMatic one, which is BAD ASS ... the ones you can buy are embarrassing with little engines.

Wouldn't surprise me but Shelby doesn't seem to be in the manufacturing part of it any more. All of the trucks are done by another company under license.
In fact, I don't know what Shelby does at their factory any more. The newer Mustangs are all super snaked by dealers (and maybe done by that third party?). I think they still accept older models to be done in Vegas but the numbers have to have almost dropped to zero...
Their store and "museum" is still open last time I checked, and the Vegas "Cars and Coffee" lists their parking lot as the new location so apparently they're still in business.
The Shelby forum disappeared. Some idiot they hired tried to move the forum to a new in-house forum software and totally destroyed it so badly that they eventually shut it down to prevent further corruption. That was almost a year ago. They told me they wanted to be facebook based so I'm not surprised they haven't put any effort into bringing it back. They contacted me about the forum stuff and I told them flat out that the first thing I'd do is Fire Big Ed. He never ever delivered anything after saying "tomorrow" for months. Nothing ever worked. The conversion was so bad. I'd heard he still worked there. I never heard anything more.
I think I mentioned elsewhere that the Shelby stock is officially worthless. It wasn't worth more than 10-20c per share but recently the SEC forced de-listing of any "pink sheet" (aka, penny stock) that hasn't filed the required 10-Q/K forms, which Shelby hasn't for over a decade, so last I looked in my broker report CSBI was worth .001 per share. Furthermore, you can only trade it if there is a buyer, but the exchange won't do it because of the delisting. My money manager says Schwab will "erase" it so I can take the loss...

The problem with Shelby was they wanted a lot of money for some add on's that you could do at home cheaper at home. They were asking around $30,000 for the SS kit and at the time I thought I could buy another car for that kind of money. Some guys were rolling in it which was fine but since they were willing to pay big money than Shelby wasn't going to lower the price. The ADM's didn't help me ether. $10,000 over sucked and it got worse as they kept building them year after year. If they had stuck to the rummer of 2 years then they could have come out with different models every 2 years and customers would scooped them up. Like the Bullet, GT350, Cobra, Make each one different with a 2 year run and make 10,000 cars a year to keep us wanting more special cars. Not the only special car is the Ford GT. Next is the $100,000 Shelby GT500
After Carroll passed things came apart for them Did Amy run it into the ground not sure. She went to West Coast Customs. Sad that they only have the store and museum. If you charge to much than they wont come. they did have issues with quality control but I think those were fixed. But with Carrol gone people don't think you put Shelby in the back means the same anymore.

11-17-2021, 09:34 PM
But if Shelby didn’t charge three times what the mods cost it would not have the official Shelby fairy dust And years later you would not be able to determine authenticity but the rusting mis-aligned hood pins and the spiderweb crack pattern around the hood scoop rivets. :haha:
okay I’m being a little unfair but Shelby was never known for quality workmanship. Even when Ford handed them bluebird after bluebird they screwed things up. Carroll loved what the did wi the series1 but as far as I’m concerned it was all down hill after after the original Cobras— genuinely awesome!
