We've had the strangest/coolest weather we've ever had in July the last week. We've had 10 inches of rain since last Friday and have it forecast for the next three days. Today is a high of 68. Won't break 85 for the next 10 days.

We're usually stringing 100+ degree days all through this time of year.

Bring on the global warming theorists.

A little cool here too.

We keep getting threats of rain, but it seems for the most part it is falling just before it hits our area?

It has been raining in the northern part of our city, but we have gotten next to nothing in weeks on end here.

Bad part is we work north of our house and that's where the rain usually is. :banghead:

That's why they changed it to "Climate change". Change the terminology to fit whatever you're trying to sell the public on. When it's hot it's "global warming", when it's cold then the more generic "climate change" fits the bill.

Still hasn't broke out of the 70s in three weeks now ...now that I'm complaining since, untill today, the humidity has been mostly very low ...it's sort of been like living in the Adirondacks 70s during the day and upper 40s to mid-50s at night ...definately global warming :rofl2: Yesterday and today it finally got to upper 70s and turned very humid. Now I think that rain you saw, Joe, is heading more or less this way.

We had a really cold spell during the arctic event (whatever snappy name they called it). Then during our normal cold season (mid Jan, stock show time) it was in the 60s. Now we're getting snow (three days, so far about 6") but the temps for the next 10 days are only highs in the 20's, and lows really cold. We've had enough and going to warmer climes.

Yeah, the goof balls that called it global warming got caught with the lie when things started cooling. Then places that had droughts got wet and places that were wet got dry. So now they call it global climate change. Well, duh, it's been maybe 50 years since I cared about the weather and one thing you can be certain of: It's going to change. But the nut cases hold onto the thing that only the citizens of the United States can have an impact on climate and that it is all our fault. Gag me with a spoon.

Carnut
02-01-2014, 05:18 PM
Since this whole climate thing started, new companies have made fortune on fear mongering the public. With the global warming thing not looking so believable they had to call climate change. Money is always to made preying on the fears of the un-informed and they don't want the huge gravy train to end, if lying keeps it going, then so be it.

The snow banks on my driveway are between 4' and 6' high. The mail man wont deliver the mail because the plows have snow 3' of snow in front of the mail box. I've dug it out 3 times so far but I'm not doing it any more, FVCK-IT! The mail can wait until spring. This is the worst winter for us in a long time. The main roads are clear but are full of pot holes so even when it does thaw I won't be able to get the Shelby out for a drive. I think its time to move south.

We're lucky that Mrs G is home, but you're right about the other parents.

Wow that's a beast!

Yeah, kinda need it here in Snow Country...we average about 140 inches of snow here a year because of the lake effect. Plus the fact that my driveway is over 300 feet long with a 60 foot long by 80 wide cement pad in front of the garage. With this bad boy I can knock the whole thing out in 30-40 minutes!:flex:

10F today here and the heat pump in the house I was inspecting ran out of propane for the backup heat. Primary won't work at that temp...so the house was 42F inside. I had to spend 3 hours in a 42 degree house. :banghead:

I think I need a Dickens Cider now.
