:faint: It's an absolute beauty! I couldn't even afford the 10% fee :rofl3:

If I has just $300K to burn the '04-05 Ford GTs are a real bargain -- modern car that you can pretty much drive anywhere ...and they are only going up in value.

Ford GTs have plateaued. If you get one do it because you want to drive it not because it's an investment. I would have done better in the stock market and since I only drove it about 50 miles the last 5 years, I should have been more aggressive in selling it before we moved to Vegas. That was the peak, I sold for about 150K under that peak for a Heritage. PS. Heritage cars no longer demand the same premium spread they did 5 years ago (ie, there is still some gap, but it has narrowed significantly.)

"Wrapper", ie delivery miles, cars, still demand a premium but I wouldn't buy one unless you intend on maintaining the museum status. The two people I know that has got a very low miles (ie, under 5K) one has had to have another 50K of work done to get it running again.

The premium for this being a Shelby owned car vs. any other CSX3000 series car wasn't what it was a few years ago. Still a little, but not a lot.

The resto is beautiful but it's not original motor -- that probably affects it too. I'm surprised it went that high given that.

I would have wanted it in the same paint condition it was when he drove it. Now it looks just like any other makeover car out there.

So now that he owns it, does he drive it or park it ??

Poked around but couldn't find out who.

Here's a couple original documents on it and pic of Dan Gurney and CS with it.
