Here's a blast from the past that when they were broadcast were entertaining as well as informative.

Postcards from Nebraska was a segment years ago on the CBS Sunday Morning show, probably during the era of Charles Kuralt. The segments were hosted by Roger Welsch. They were short looks into the culture of the farmland community. Welsch was a resident of Dannebrog, NE, which figures prominently in the arcs. His photo essay book of old outhouses figures prominently in our downstairs bath decoration.

Well, the "cable" network RFDTV (231 on Dish) is broadcasting 3 segments packaged up as a 1/2 hour episode. I'd recorded one a while ago and last week the timer fired again and it's showing up on the schedule for the next week so maybe they're going to run them for a while - who knows if they'll get them all.

One of the interesting ones recent was about a woman that restores old tractors. Not for show but for use, sort of like the driver 65 mustang.
