    Bilstein Electronic Dampers

    New Higher flowing Cats

Front Drive Shaft CV joint and rear transmission yoke.

Here we see a directional vented shield under the engine designed to aid in both cooling and aero

Notice the absence of the brake dust shield on the front rotors here

Nice pics.....looks like they redesigned the tranny support brace....

Is that a CV joint on the driveshaft? Thanks for the pics.

Didn't get a picture of it but the rear upper control arm is said to be more massive than previous years.

Also the Intercooler pump has been relocated on the engine where the power steering pump bracket was. I'm assuming because the new Heat Exchanger is so large they had to move the pump elsewhere.

    Remember this pic...

    Great pics, George!

    ---

...yeah, that tranny mount looks redesigned wit more offset ...probably to allign the engine/trans and driveshaft to near-zero angles to reduce stress/heat on the one-piece DS CV-joint needle-bearings

...great to see all the attention to detail!

Remember the new oil pan is much deeper, looks like they moved the trans brace around the oil pan sump for clearance nothing really more that that IMO. They tried to keep the undercarriage as streamlined as possible.

Is that blue 'sump' by the oil cooler part of the oil cooler circuit?

Same old TB tho I thought they'd at least punch it out to remove those 'hips' out of the bore. Well, at leadt the aftermarket will appreciate preservation of that opportunity -lol.

...I thought that was the rear trans yoke/brace.

...just would make sense to optimize (minimize) DS "Z" angle at the same time too now that it's a one piece DS. At 7500 shaft rpm (5,757 engine rpm in 5th/.77 OD is 205mph) those CV/yoke bearings are all changing direction 15,000 (2x shaft speed) times/minute -- every 4 miliseconds -- while carrying all that torque, so minimizing the amount of bearing rotation -- a NON-LINEAR function of "Z" angle -- has a huge impact on reducing heat and lost energy.
