Been a long time but my recollection is I used about 2 miles of cable in our Colorado house. It was a two story with a 2 story open center so everything had to take along route. Over a mile of 14-2. Then tons of coax and Cat5. Took a long time and I did it all myself.
I could have saved if I'd done the primary panel at one end and then ran a subpanel to the other end of the house.
