We've been watching a Phoebe build it's relatively modest nest on our porchlight (still building ...for several days now) ...using mud and tiny vines and dried moss, etc.
Then I got an email from a friend with these avian engineers handiwork -- wow!
Ok, you can included beavers in the engineering category too -lol- but these are all our feathered friends

So far so good -- 6 days and no beaver rebuilding activity ...but that's usually the pattern. Then one day a few sticks, then a few more, then a very low dam ...then it's all friggin' downhill from therelol
