Me electronics for scientists class in 1972 or so used tubes

In the 70s during the CB radio craze people would buy a heathkit 10m linear amplifier and get 1000 Watts from their 5watt cb. They didnt stay on the air long but could get clear cross country. The amp had a pair of giant tubes that glowed proportional to the voice being sent. It was weird

We still have ours, use it in the garage.

One of our first house investments in 1988. I'd say we really got ripped off, but it’s still here and being used.

I used it in all the construction sites. It atecthe drywall sanding dust off the rough subfloor like it was ccandy.candy.with the brush and its superior suction it was better than a shop vac

But on carpet a self propelled is preferred
